GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL PIANO FESTIVAL “MADRID A TEMPO”
REQUIREMENTS:
Video Two contrasting style works, one work or movement from the classical period and one of the applicants free choice.
1. WHO CAN APPLY
Applications must be submitted only on-line, through the application form available on the
website attached to the requiered documentation. Incomplete documentations or those that
are submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
2. SCHEDULE
The festival will take place from 1st to 6th September 2026, between 9:00 and 20:00, at
CIEM Federico Moreno Torroba.
3. HOW TO APPLY
Applications must be submitted exclusively online via the application form available on the
website, along with all required documentation. Applications missing documentation or
submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Application deadline: 31th July 2026 (23:59h).
4. APPLICATION FEES
Active students (€490): includes five classes one with each professor: Fali Pavri, Saša Gerželj,
Mario Mora, Elena Orobiogoicochea, Karla Martínez and Maurizio Reyes.
Each student may select a principal tutor with whom they may take a maximum of 3 lessons, and complete the remaining two lessons with other members of the festival faculty, according to their preferences and availability.
Listeners (30€): they will have the opportunity to asist and listen to all the master-
classes, conferences and different festival activities. Nevertheless they will not be allowed to
perform in the festival concerts. We recommend this option for all those students whose goal is
increasing of technical and musical piano knowledge
Extra piano class of 60 min: 100 €
Interested in an extra piano class students may obtain it under personal request, depending on
the general festival schedule and free time of the teachers.
´´Participants will have the opportunity to perform in public concerts in venues across Madrid´´
subject to prior approval by the professors.
5. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For applying as an active participant, candidates must send the application form and submit
the links to their performance videos. After the application is received, reviewed and approved,
the festival will send an official acceptance letter with further instructions.
Dedeposit of €90 This will be deducted from the
total tuition fee.
Payment method: After acceptance, participants will receive detailed instructions on how to
make the payment via bank transfer. All bank charges must be covered by the applicant.
6. ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is available at Hotel Node-Living.
Rate per night per room: €80 (VAT included), lodging only.

7. ADMISSION NOTIFICATION
All applicants will receive an email notification with the festival’s decision no later than 22nd
August 2026.
8. TUITION PAYMENT
Once admitted, participants must pay the full fee within 48 hours. If payment is not received
within this period, the applicant’s registration will be automatically cancelled.

Refunds:
The full amount paid will only be refunded in the event of cancellation, date changes, or
substantial modification of the programme or its content by the organisers.
9. REQUIRED REPERTOIRE
Applicants must submit two separate YouTube links:
• One for the chosen classical work (or movement)
• One for the freely chosen piece
Each video must be titled with the applicant’s full name and the piece title with composer.

10. VIDEO GUIDELINES
Please read the instructions before applying or doing the video recordings:
• Videos must be recorded in a single shot, with no cuts or edits (except for the
professionally produced live performance vídeos with multiple camera angles)
• Each video must last between 7 and 10 minutes
• Two pieces are required: a classical work or movement, and a free-choice work.
• Consider room acoustics and camera distance; the more reverberant the room, the
closer the camera (ideally around 3 metres or 10 feet).
• Artificial reverb or any form of audio editing is strictly prohibited and will result in
disqualification.
• Review your videos to ensure they accurately reflect your performance.
• Upload your videos to YouTube and submit the links.
• Once submitted, videos cannot be changed.
11. COURSE CONDITIONS
Active participants will receive 5 piano lessons fron different professors, selected by the
candidate during registration. The organisers will try to settle each applicant's preferences,
based on their audition videos and general scheduling.
Participants may attend all masterclasses, perform in concerts and join all lectures and festival
activities. For taking part in the festival concerts, each participant should have at least one
pieces of between 7 and 10 minutes long. Each concert programme piece proposed by the
students must be approved by the teachers staff.
Each active participant will also have 3 to 5 hours minimun of daily practice time in upright piano cabins
at the conservatoire.
12. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
a. CONTENTS
The Festival reserves the right to modify any content. Any changes will be announced on the
website. Activities may be cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not reached, as
determined by the organisers after the application deadline.
Admission is reserved. Non-registered individuals or those without express permission will not
be permitted to attend.
The Festival is not responsible for underage participants. All participants under 18 must be
accompanied by a responsible adult.
b. ACTIVITIES
To maximise participant experience, the festival offers a programme including 5 masterclasses
per participant, 3 performance classes, recordings, lectures, and daily concerts.
c. LIABILITY
The Festival accepts no responsibility for accidents unless due to proven negligence on the part
of the organisers. Participants are required to have valid health insurance during the event.
The organisers have taken out the necessary public liability insurance for the event.
The Festival is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items under any
circumstances.
d. DATA PROTECTION AND IMAGE RIGHTS
All personal data will be handled in compliance with national and European data protection
laws.
By accepting these conditions, participants authorise the organisers to record their classes,
concerts, recitals, and other festival activities, and consent to the use of their image and
recordings for promotional and media purposes (radio, press, video, photography, DVDs,
internet, posters, etc.) without the right to any financial compensation.
e. PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATE
Active participants who attend the festival will receive a certificate of participation.
